CONTEMPORARY DANCE WORKSHOPS
These workshops, most of them free, are open to everyone or sometimes dedicated to specific segments of population like unemployed, women in situations of conflict, elderly, dancers, etc...They pursue the double objective of becoming a way of expression for the participants and in the other hand to give visibility to certain situations manifested in our community. We believe deeply in the healing and expressive capacity of art, and we want to work directly with people.

In the current issue we continue laying emphasis on community workshops; we propose five workshops very different in themes and purposes, from an artistic experimentation workshop with elderly people to an audiovisual research workshop and a workshop for women with experience in conflict.

DANCING FAMILIES WORKSHOP (concept and direction: Juan Eduardo López)
Dancing Families is a project that looks for strengthening the bonds between the different members of a family through art. It also promotes social cohesion while sharing an artistic experience and a collective creation. From the start of the project in 2003 in Barcelona, it has had the participation of renowned national and international artists and professionals such as Sol Picó, Mariona Sagarra, Àngels Margarit, Rootlessroot Company (Greece), Compagnie 7273 (Switzerland), Damián Muñoz, Andrés Corchero, Mal Pelo, Marcel.lí Antúnez, Albert Vidal, Joan Baixas...Between others.

Come to experience new ways which link and strengthen creativity and collective participation!
The workshop costs 8€ each family/session*
*Unfortunately this year we haven't been granted the same amount of resources we did the last few years. This is the reason why we've had to ask for the contribution of the families in order to cover the minimum expenses. This is also the reason of the director delivering several of the workshops this year.
