WORKSHOPS INFORMATION

WORKSHOP WITH YIPHUN CHIEM – Cambodia/Belgium

The workshop will be made from June 30th to July 4th, from 17h to 20h, in the MACBA (Pl. dels Angels, 1).As conclusion of the workshop becomes a presentation in the Festival Dies de Dansa 2008, July 5th, at 20h (approximately).

PUBLIC: Dancers and students of dance, older than 18 years.

DESCRIPTION OF THE WORKSHOP

At this year’s workshop, the whole body is sollicitated with a rythmical support.The link between music and dance, and between movement and rythm are in the center of this workshop: moments of silence in the used music, perception of time (consciount, unconsciount). We are going to play with a number of elements (binary rythm, ternary rythm, resonance, body pulsation/weight, construction, repetitions…) in order to discover a dance through various kinds of movements. We’ll understand the abundance of differences, with a link to everyone’s individual feelings and sensibility.Warm-up and studies of figures of dancestyles such as bboying/bgirling, new style, kung fu and cambodian dance.The workshop participants are going to compose a choreography which inspires them, in harmony with their body. A particular element is the use of different kinds of music, in order to confront styles and cultures.

Female element in the moviment hip hop in Belgium (98), She joins Collectif Mad spirit (Mc Dancers, Grafiti,Musicians all Autodidacts), colabored with Jazz Musicians: Greetings from Mercury (Jeroen Van Erzeel, Aka Moon, Dalton drums Syndicate (4 dancers Vs 4 drummers), Colaborate with Fatou Traore with Vegetal Beauty Project.She noticed in freestle circles by her very personal style, ear to the martial arts, wich led her to gain the 1st Bgirl battle in Belgium (2004). Now she tourn her solo, but work with Cie Melting Spot (FRA), Dark Speeches project with Lazara Rosel Albeart (Ballet c de l'A.B.), The Wang Wei Quartet project , andthe next creation of her Company, Tribal sarong...

WORKSHOP OF JULIE DOSSAVI AND YVAN TALBOT - France/Benín

The workshop will be made from June 30th to July 3th, from 16h to 20h, in the La Piconera (Sancho Marraco Street, 6, Poble Sec).

As conclusion of the workshop becomes a presentation in the Festival Dies de Dansa 2008, in July 5th, at 12h (approximately).

PUBLIC: Dancers and students of dance who play some type of instrument or sing, or musicians that like to dance, as older than 18 years.

DESCRIPTION OF THE WORKSHOP

My originality: My dance is "world", is multiple, is a mix between the contemporary, the African dance and groove. Objective: Make the dancer to acquire a true generosity and a circulation of the movement. To be free form the experiences in knowledge,to wake up a corporal pulsation and to transform the body into a musical score. Development of the workshop: Heating; Technical Work; Work in winch of the transformation: how to becoming multiple in an only body and to determine the different states from a dance.

CV PROFESSORS

JULIE DOSSAVI

Was born in France in 1968, of original parents from Benín, Julie Dossavi it studies dance jazz, before receiving the master's degree in physical education and sport with option it dances. Admitted in the National Center of Contemporary Dance of Angers, integrate soon the company Jean-François Duroure and, in 1992, is dancer, assistant and repeater for the ceremony of opening of the Olympic Games of Albertville, directed by Philippe Decouflé. In 1993, Dossavi decides to be interested in her own single dance and composes her firsts solos, Go and FIVE. Alter that works in "P.I." in 2004 (Mercat de les Flors/2008), "À chaque vent him papillon déplace South him saule", signed by Daniel Larrieu in 2005, "AGBAZEME" for 4 dancers of the Tchad, in 2006 and, in the present time, this preparing a creation, "CLUBBING", for end of 2008.

YVAN TALBOT

Is graduated by the state of Guinea in folk music, art and guineana culture. Percusionista specialized in the folk music of Western Africa, plays atypical and strange like the "quarry stone" (ARPA-LAU'D of 3 cords), the drum "baala" of Forest Guinea and "n'goni Bissa" of Burkina Ditch.Musical director of the company Julie Dossavi, signs and Co-realize the musics of the spectacles P.I (Pays) or Présentations intimes, AGBAZEME, AHONVI (spectacle-performance), My lè Doun and "One Piece" (creation for Dies de Dansa 2008). Yvan Talbot is initiator and artistic director of the project "the Fassa Club".

DESCRIPTION OF THE WORKSHOP

To share, is a constant of the members of a family. Dance in Family looks for this relation and that commitment that a family of natural form acquires see harnessed with a playful activity.
The music, the movement, the improvisation, the games, the massages, the sense of the rhythm, the confidence and the change of rolls are some of the elements of our proposal.
A group of very good professionals together to experiment with the family through the movement. Powering the creativity, the imagination, the bonds between everyone, and also between the members of a family and another one. A way to explore that in past editions it has given surprising profits for which they have participated.
This workshop is directed to children of 4 to 14 years and has to come accompanied by, minimum, an adult member of the family.

ENRIC ASES

He’s actor, scriptwriter and theater director. He has studied mimo and pantomima in the Institute of the Theater of Barcelona. Specialized seminaries cone Albert Boadella, Carlo Bosso, Anatoli Vasiliev among others. It has participated in different productions from theater, cinema and television.

Masters in PerformanceStudies to TischSchool of the Arts, NewYork, where one approaches the world of the education and the dance like eïna of personal development.

ISABEL MONTERO

Gestalt therapist. Formed in corporal Psycotherapy in the System Abierto River (vital and expressive movement), formation in expressive-corrective movement in the system of Centers of Energy. Psycotherapy Integrativa and Eneagrama. It distributes factories of “Theater: A tool for the therapy”. Formation of actress and theater pedagogy.
